Your list may differ from the list below. And of
course, some individuals of a particular culture may revel in any of the
foods listed. But as a general rule, the foods listed can offend
those individuals for reasons of socialization, religious prohibitions,
or habit.

But, Northern Americans have their own food prohibitions
which strike others as strange, including restrictions on consuming cattle
organ meats (brains, eyes, intestines, kidneys), most insects, rodents,
horses, etc. In fact, you may be witnessing the evolution of a "food
taboo" as fats, sugars, and salt, once valued staples of diets in Canada, become less popular with increasing interest in diet and health!
